The mission of 501(c)(3) nonprofit CR38V3 M1ND5/(dba) Creative Mental Wellness is essentially to fill in gaps in mental health care. Because we know that connecting with others and volunteering are both mental health tools—things people can do to enable better mental health for themselves—we want to work on facilitating potential volunteers finding volunteer activities that fit with their personalities, needs, and availabilities. The VOLUNTEER 4U Project will work to get people (either in person or virtually) to offer their time, talents, and skills in support of others to ward off loneliness and lack of connection (which tend to contribute to mental health challenges) and hopefully enhance feelings that they matter as they are doing great things for their communities and humanity.
We understand that there are many organizations doing necessary work in support of people’s needs that can negatively impact mental health. Thus, the VOLUNTEER 4U Project will work to build relationships and collaborate with those organizations (as well as organizations that offer volunteer opportunities which can elevate mental wellbeing) to streamline connecting potential volunteers with them. Whether it’s volunteering with Creative Mental Wellness or another organization, we want to facilitate more people doing it to enable their own mental health. We just want to help link up and support the chain of healthy connections!
