When you are down in the dumps or feeling upset, I know it can be difficult to be polite to others, much less yet kind. But being kind could actually help you feel better.
As other-focused or selfless you may be, kindness still benefits you. You know that sweet feeling when you give someone a compliment or help them with something? It makes you feel more connected to others, and helps the giver and receiver of kindness feel better.
