Walk In. Connect & Learn. Walk Out Empowered—Together & Stronger.
Creative Mental Wellness is proud to bring MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES DAY (MHRD) to Galveston County—expanding a growing, community-driven initiative designed to connect individuals and families with vital mental health, behavioral health, and substance use resources.
Following the success of MHRD events in Houston and Dallas, this Galveston County event represents an important step in strengthening access to care across Texas through a hub-and-spoke model, ensuring both urban and surrounding communities are supported.
What is MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES DAY?
MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES DAY is a free, community-centered event that brings together:
- Local mental health, behavioral health, and substance use providers
- Community organizations and nonprofits
- Wellness-focused programs and services
- Educational speakers and panel discussions
All in one place—making it easier for attendees to discover resources, ask questions, and build meaningful connections.
What to Expect
Attendees can:
- Visit vendor tables representing a wide range of services
- Learn from engaging speakers on:
- Reducing stigma
- Accessing care
- Elevating mental wellness
- Connect with providers in a welcoming, stigma-free environment
- Discover practical tools to support their own mental wellness and that of their families
As with previous events held at venues like United Way of Greater Houston, MHRD emphasizes connection, collaboration, and community empowerment.
Why This Matters
Many individuals and families want support—but don’t know where to start.
MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES DAY helps bridge that gap by:
- Increasing awareness of available resources
- Reducing stigma through open conversation
- Strengthening collaboration among providers
- Encouraging early engagement and prevention
This is more than an event—it’s a community-building experience designed to help people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Our Message
NO STIGMA. JUST SUPPORT.
When communities come together, we create stronger systems of care—and healthier lives for everyone. And when we care for one another as a community, we create a stronger, healthier ‘village’ where no one has to navigate challenges alone
